The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a very slight natural rise, in gently undulating pasture with good views to the NW and ESE. Ringfort (WM024-016----) 95m to SW. Annotated ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a bivallate earthwork. Monument described in 1971 as a partially levelled roughly circular-shaped area (dims. 40m E-W; 38m N-S) enclosed by a scarp (H 1.4m) and external fosse. A very faint, low profile scarp is traceable and is best preserved to E. A slight fosse (Wth at top 5.3m; basal Wth 1.5m; D 0.6m) can be traced most of the way around, although it is partially obscured at E by a modern field fence running NNW-SSE. The original entrance is not recognisable. Much of the interior has been quarried away. Outline of poorly preserved monument clearly visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
