The ruins of a 17th century mausoleum or mortuary chapel (WM024-005002-) stands in the eastern quadrant of a rectangular-shaped graveyard measuring internally 79m NE-SW by 48m N-S which is enclosed by a late 18th or early 19th century stone wall built by the Magan family of Umma More and Togherstown with entrance gate at S. The Church of Ireland church dedicated to St. Owen was built in 1827 on the site of the medieval church (WM024-005----) and stands in the centre of the graveyard. In 1826 it was recorded that 'by that family [Magan] the church-yard has been surrounded by a stone wall, and with a double, and very ornamental, line of elm trees, at present of considerable bulk and height' (Brewer 1826, 247). The medieval church and graveyard are located 200m north of the village of Ballymore (WM024-178----) and 450m north of a castle (WM024-182----) or Augustinian priory (WM024-034----). The remains of a 17th century bastioned fort (WM024-004001-) and Anglo-Norman motte (WM024-004----) are 325m and 625m to the northeast. The graveyard contains memorials dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. An aerial photograph of the church and graveyard clearly shows the roadway (WM024-004002-) depicted in Story's 1691 sketch running as a linear feature through the field to the east of the church and graveyard (CUCAP BDU064).
