The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the N edge of a ridge with wide views to NW, N, E and S. Monument described in 1977 as a circular-shaped area (diam. 33m) defined by a bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank with entrance gap (Wth 2.6m) at ESE. The inner bank of earth and stone is set on a steep counterscarp embankment from N-NW-NE. The intervening fosse is best preserved from E-S-W. The outer bank is reasonably well-preserved and is visible from SE-S-W. Field banks cut into the perimeter of the site, where they have disturbed the outer bank at E, SW and W. The interior has a gentle S-facing slope with slight undulations.
