The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle NE-facing slope, toward the summit of a prominent hill, in pasture and overlooking Killinure Lough to W, good views to NE and E. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map where it is depicted as a roughly circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork. Levelled monument described in 1971 as no surface remains visible. There are a few irregular depressions across the site and a slight growth of gorse. Barely visible outline of levelled monument visible today on Digital Globe aerial photograph. May have been a ringfort that was reused as a tree-ring associated with Easthill Ho. located 200m to SSE.
