The National Monuments Service's description
Sited on a very slight rise, in gently undulating pasture. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as an irregular-shaped earthwork intersected by road from N-S and with a limekiln at NW. Not depicted as an antiquity on the revised ed. OS 6-inch map where it is shown as a roughly circular-shaped field. Monument described in 1971 as a large subcircular-shaped area (diam. 43.5m) enclosed by a modern earth and stone bank which has been replaced by a modern shed at N and there is a modern concrete structure outside the bank at SSE. There is a modern gateway in the bank at NE and at NW. The W half of the interior is occupied by a hay shed and stable. In its present condition, the enclosure is modern, although it appears to be a much modified ringfort.
Monument is visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs as a circular-shaped enclosure the interior of which has several farm outbuildings which mainly occupy the W half of the monument. Possibly a ringfort that has been reused as a modern day farmyard.
