The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise, on a gentle W-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Monument described in 1980 as a roughly circular-shaped area (29m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by a bank and an external fosse. The bank is best preserved from SSE-S and at SW, otherwise it is reduced to a scarp. The outer face of the bank is well preserved for the most part, although it is slightly defaced from N-NNE and from S-SSW. There is no obvious sign of an entrance. The fosse is well preserved from WNW-NW and from SE-S-W. A modern field fence runs WSW-ENE just outside the perimeter from NW-N-NE, where the fosse is no longer traceable. The interior has a very gentle NW-facing slope and there is a small, shallow disturbance depression just inside the perimeter from W-WSW. Monument is visible today as a roughly circular-shaped, tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
