The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Within the SE quadrant of ringfort (WM020-110----), there is a deep, round-bottomed depression (Wth 3.8m; D 1m) which extends (L 13m) from the inner face of the bank at SE toward the centre and may represent a souterrain. There is a slight earthen bank of potential up-cast along the upper edge of the depression on both sides. Monument is visible as a slightly curvilinear depression on Digital Globe aerial photography. It is possible however that this feature was created as result of post 1700 quarrying rather than the remains of a collapsed souterrain.
