The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a high ridge, in gently undulating pasture, with good views from N-E-S. Monument described in 1970 as an earthwork enclosed by a bank and scarp. The N half of the monument has been levelled. The bank is visible at W only and the monument is defined by a scarp (H 2.8m) from SE-S-W. The original entrance is not recognisable. The surviving portion of the interior has a gentle ENE-facing slope. A scarp extends from the perimeter at the SE. Monument is visible as a broad D-shaped earthwork (dims. 61m NE-SW; 38m NW-SE) on Digital Globe aerial photography.
