The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise, in undulating pasture, with good views from SW-N-SE. Monument described in 1970-2 as a subcircular-shaped area (dims. 45m NNE-SSW; 39.50m WNW-ESE) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The bank is best preserved from SW-N-NE and has several gaps. The fosse is best preserved from SW-N-NNE where it is narrow, steep-sided, and flat-bottomed. A field boundary truncates the monument from NE-S-SW and there is evidence of quarrying on the bank exterior at S. The fragmentary remains of an outer bank are present at NE. The original entrance is not visible. The interior rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre. Monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
