The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with excellent views from NW-NE. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork which is open to N. Monument described in 1970-2 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 33m WNW-ESE; 28.4m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a bank and an external fosse. The bank has been quarried away from NNW-NE and there are gaps at SE and SW. The fosse is visible at W only. The original entrance is not recognisable but may have been at NE. The interior has a gentle N-facing slope and has been quarried within the N quadrant. There are quarry holes and modern banks on the exterior of the monument from SE-WSW. Monument is visible today as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
