The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views of the surrounding landscape. Possible burial mound (WM020-063----) lies c. 75m to NW. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as an irregular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1970 as a much disturbed irregular-shaped area (approx. dims. 28m NW-SE; 22m NE-SW) which appears to have been oval-shaped before a large portion was demolished. It is enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth at top 0.35m; overall Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.1m) from SSE-S-W-N which is almost reduced to a scarp. The perimeter and surface of the interior have been quarried away from S-SSW-WSW. A wide shallow fosse is visible from SSE-S-W. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior has a gentle NNW-facing slope and there is a slight depression in the S quadrant. Monument is visible today as an irregular-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
