The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a natural rise, in pasture, with good views in all directions. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map where it is depicted as a roughly circular-shaped tree-planted enclosure. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 48m NE-SW; 45m NW-SE). Ringwork (WM020-034----) lies c. 50m to WNW. Levelled monument described in 1970 as no surface remains visible. Faint suboval-shaped cropmark of levelled site is barely visible today on Digital Globe aerial photograph.
