The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Urban Survey of Westmeath (Bradley et. al. 1985, 121), ‘Brady (1940, 99) suggests that the 'tanner’s dry house' in Dowdalls’s yard may have been used as a church from c. 1690-1730. This was located by tradition near the Presentation convent’ in the N quadrant of Mullingar town.
