The National Monuments Service's description
Recumbent 17th century graveslab with chamfered edge located in W quadrant of All Saint's graveyard (WM019-089016-) adjacent to boundary wall and 2.3m N of graveslab (WM019-089021-). Described in the Urban Survey of Westmeath (Bradley et. al. 1985, 118-19) as a ‘Coffin-shaped limestone slab (dims. H 2m; Wth 0.61-0.54m) decorated with a calvary with encircled transom and trefoil ended terminals. Roman inscription in false relief: PRAY FOR THE S/ OVLES OF GARALD/ DALTON AND ELLIS/ DALTON 1641’.
