The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise, in pasture. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly trapezoidal-shaped enclosure (approx. dims. 55m NE-SW; 20m NW-SE) annotated Marlinstown Graveyard which has been extended to the W in modern times. Monument described in 1970 as a small subrectangular-shaped area enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall to N, E and W and by a curvilinear wall to S. The interior is quite uneven and contains a number of 19th and 20th century memorials. There is no trace of a church. A modern walled extension adjoins to W. There are no earthworks in the vicinity. Monument is visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography as a trapezoidal-shaped graveyard which is open to W, where it adjoins a modern graveyard extension.
