The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in level pasture, with good views in all directions, except where obstructed by a ridge to W. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a modified roughly oval-shaped earthwork.
Monument described in 1980 as a roughly oval-shaped area (dims. 39m N-S; 32.5m E-W) enclosed by a bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The inner earthen bank is best preserved from NNW-N and from NNE-E-ESE. It is low and defaced from SSW-SW and has quite a sharp profile from E-SE, where it may have been modified. There is no indication of an entrance, although there are disturbance gaps at N and E. The intervening fosse is fairly narrow and shallow. The outer bank only survives at NW where it is low and disturbed. The fosse and outer bank have been defaced by surrounding field fences from WNW-N and from NE-E and they have been removed completely from E-S and from SW-W-NW. A wide quarry depression is located on the site of the fosse from N-NE. The interior has a slight NE-facing slope. Monument is visible as an oval-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
