The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low rise, in undulating pasture with good views to N and NE, overlooked by higher ridges to SE, S and SW. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map and on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork bisected by a field boundary running NE-SW.
Monument described in 1980 as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 32.5m) enclosed by a bank which is reduced to a scarp in places. The monument is bisected by the remains of an old field bank running NE-SW. The bank is visible from WSW-W-NW and at NE-ENE. It has a number of disturbance gaps around the W arc. The bank is reduced to a scarp from NW-NE and ENE-WSW. There is no sign of an entrance or an outer fosse. The NW half of the interior is occupied by a roughly Z-shaped depression which may be a collapsed souterrain (WM018-050001-). The E half of the interior is level and featureless. The remains of an old curvilinear field bank extends from the external face of bank at NW. A second field bank running NE-SW runs into the scarp at the NNW. There are old cultivation ridges running NE-SW and a number of small rock outcrops in the surrounding fields. Monument is visible today as a circular-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
