The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level grassland. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a polygonal-shaped earthwork that is annotated as a ‘fort’ running off S end of a house. On the revised 1911 ed. OS 25 inch map the W arc of a curving earthwork is depicted running off S end of building. This curving earthwork is visible as a tree-lined bank on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
