The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on grassland. The field fence running NW-SE which forms the townland boundary with Doonis lies 5m to W. Not depicted as an antiquity on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. Depicted as a tree-plantation on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. Remains consist of a circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 32m NW-SE) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a slight external fosse. The bank has been reduced to a scarp from N-E-S. A possible outer bank and fosse at SE appear to be later features. This site appears to have been used as a tree ring in the post-1700 period as depicted on the 1838 ed. OS 6-inch map. The area around the monument has been disturbed by quarrying.
