The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the lower SW face of a high ridge. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a roughly circular shaped enclosure annotated as ‘fort’. This site has been almost completely levelled, visible as a circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 21m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.4m) which is visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. From S-SW-W a modern field fence & trench replace the original rampart. The original entrance may have been at SE where no trace of the perimeter scarp survives.
