The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on steep SE facing slope of a high ridge running WNW-ESE, with good views from SSE-W. Ringfort (WM013-005---) 360m to E. An unusually large oval shaped area (approx. diam. 46m NE-SW) enclosed by two earth and stone banks and a shallow external fosse. The internal bank is substantial and is best preserved at N (max. H 2m). The fosse and outer bank are best preserved at S and W. The perimeter of the site has been quarried away in the SW quadrant. There is an entrance gap (Wth. 2m) in the inner bank at SE. The interior slopes steeply from NE-SW. Outline of rectangular house site (WM013-004001-) visible in E quadrant.
