The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on S facing slope of a high ridge in hilly grassland, with good views to the SE and SW. Ringfort (WM012-133---) 70m to ESE. This site has been almost completely levelled and is now only visible as a faint crop mark on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular shaped earthwork annotated as a ‘fort’. Described in 1970 as consisting of a circular shaped area (approx. diam. 30m NW-SE; 30.5m NE-SW) enclosed by a very poorly preserved earthen bank and external fosse. The bank is visible from NNW-N-E. The slight external fosse is only visible from S-NW. A field fence curves along the perimeter of the site from N-E.
