The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the shoulder of S facing slope of a high ridge overlooking River Gaine 190m to SW. Ringfort (WM012-121---) 350m to SE, possible ringfort (WM012-212----) 240m to NW. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as an oval shaped earthwork with its long axis E-W, annotated as ‘fort’. A small oval shaped area (approx. diam. 20m NW-SE; 16m NE-SW) defined by a scarp which contains several low banks and a possible house site (WM012-118001-).
