The National Monuments Service's description

Small circular shaped ringfort now levelled was situated on the W face of a high ridge with wide views over hilly grassland from S-W-N. Monument is not indicated on an edition of the OS 6-inch maps but is visible on Cambridge University aerial photograph taken in 1966 (CUCAP APE034). A modern quarry access road (originally a field fence) road marks the boundary with the townland of Down 20m to W. Described in 1984 as a sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 23m NNW-SSE; 23m ENE-SSW) defined by a scarp and enclosed by a shallow external fosse. There is no real trace of an enclosing bank. The external fosse is visible from NNW-NNE and from SE-SSW. The interior slopes from NE-SW and a shallow depression is visible in the SW quadrant, probably the result of disturbance. A field fence intersects the E side of the monument. Monument appears to have been levelled and is not visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
