The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a slight natural rise, overlooked by a high hill to the E, in gently undulating grassland, with good views to NW & S. An oval shaped area (diam. 25m NW-SE; 27m NE-SW) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.4m). Both the inside and outside of the bank have remains of dry stone masonry and slabs laid on edge or upright. There is a possible entrance gap at S (Wth 2.3m). The interior slopes from NE-SW and has traces of cultivation ridges which run NNW-SSE. A circular house site (WM011-116001-) is visible in the centre. A low bank extends from the N side of this house site towards the perimeter of the monument, and a second fragmentary bank extends to S from the hut. Low sub-circular platform (WM011-172----) in field 40m to WSW which may be the remains of an archaeological monument or could be associated with old quarry depression immediately adjacent to the platform. A second low sub-circular shaped earthwork (WM011-171----) in field 30m to SSW may be the remains of a levelled ringfort.
