The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small natural rise, surrounded by gently undulating grassland with good views from NW-NE. Moated site (WM011-098----) 320m to NE, Ringfort (WM011-102----) 30m to SE, Piercefield Castle (WM011-097----) 350m to NW. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a roughly circular earthwork annotated as a ‘fort’. Depicted as a circular shaped enclosure on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. Not indicated on the revised 1911 ed. OS 25-inch map. It appears to have been constructed against the W side of the road which marks the boundary with Grangegeeth townland. No surface remains visible of this site that was probably levelled between 1837 and 1911. A modern dwelling house and garden have been built on the site of the levelled enclsure which us visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Not visible at ground level.
