The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise on relatively low lying wet grassland. A stream which marks the boundary with Cullenagh townland cuts the W perimeter of the site from N-S. Earthwork (WM011-009----) 155m to SE. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular shaped enclosure annotated as ‘fort’. Described in 1972 as a monument hat had been levelled. Present remains consists of a sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 37m N-S) visible as a slight scarp enclosed by a dark band of vegetation. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running N-S across the interior of the monument. The outline of this levelled monument is clearly visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Linear earthworks radiating out from levelled ringfort represent the remains of post-1700 drainage ditches.
