The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on ENE face of a gentle natural rise on poorly drained grassland with Inny River 100m to E. Possible moated site (WM011-002---) 155m to NNW. A stream which marks the boundary with the townland of Rathclittagh is 10m to N. A square shaped area (approx. dims. 36m E-W) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and external fosse. The bank is best preserved on the SW side, and almost completely levelled at NW. The NE & SE sides appear to have been narrowed and steepened. The fosse has been filled in from W-N. Vague traces of broad cultivation ridges are visible running WNW-ESE across the interior. The interior of the monument slopes slightly from WSW-ESE, and has a saucer shaped depression at centre.
