The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight natural rise in gently undulating slightly rushy grassland. Ringfort (WM010-029----) 200m to SSE. The Irishtown River which forms the boundary with Lakingstown is 120m to NE. A sub-circular shaped raised area (approx. diam. 19m N-S; 21m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved bank of earth and stone and a slight external fosse with entrance gap at ESE (Wth 3.2m). The bank is best preserved from SW-W-WNW and at NNW, but almost completely levelled elsewhere. The fosse is visible from SW-W-N. The interior slopes from N-S and contains vague traces of cultivation ridges. The faint outline of a circular house site (WM010-028001-) is visible in N quadrant.
