The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a small natural rise in gently undulating grassland with good views to the W & N, restricted by higher ground to the SE. Royal Canal 260m to N. Castle (WM010-019----) 150m to the NNW. Poorly preserved much degraded monument of which only the W half remains visible. Present remains consist of a sub-circular shaped area enclosed by a low wide earthen bank (Wth 4.3m; int. H 0.2m) visible only at S. The monument has been bisected by a post-1837 field fence running NNE-SSW. No visible remains of E half of monument. Possible ringfort.
