The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on undulating well drained grassland with good views of the surrounding countryside. The river which forms the boundary with townland of Sheepstown is 75m to S. Ringfort (WM008-067---) 375m to SE. Ringfort (WM008-068---) 330m to S. A raised oval-shaped area (approx. diam. 33m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by a very poorly preserved earthen bank. The interior rises towards the centre. An earthen bank running NW-SE bisects the interior of the monument. In the NE quadrant are the remains of a hut site (WM008-066001-), and to the NE of this is a second hut site (WM008-06602-). A post-1837 field bank running NE-SW intersects the monument at W & SW where it forms part of the perimeter of the site.
