Listed by Buckley as site 9 and described as following; 'A roughly sub-rectangular cairn of stones measuring 15 ESE-WNW by 22m NE-SW. The cairn rises 70cms from the surrounding ground. The surface of the cairn was densely overgrown with thorns and had to be cleared. The top of the cairn was level, with no traces of any structures on the top, such as house foundations. The interior of the cairn is made up of small limestone stones measuring roughly 15cms across, held in place by a kerb of large boulders measuring up to 2m across and 70cms high. There is no trace of any wooden structure on the site. The cairn is located some 20m behind (E of) site 8 (WM007-117----) and at the edge of the woodland. It is 25m from the scarp to the E which delimits the old shoreline. All editions of the 6 inch sheets show no trace of this site on the demesne lands, and therefore I think that the possibility of it being the base for a summer house or hide is unlikely. Most probably a Lough Gara type Bronze Age lakeside platform’ (ASI Field Report 8 & 11/04/1981).
