The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in low-lying poorly drained land liable to flooding from Yellow River located 30m to N. Yellow River marks townland boundary with Benison Lodge or Bratty. Ringfort (WM007-053----) 340m to NE, earthwork (WM007-051----) 700m to SW. An oval-shaped area (approx. diam. 17m N-S; 20m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank, wide shallow fosse and poorly preserved outer earthen bank. The fosse has been infilled at W. Entrance gap (Wth 4.6m) & causeway (Wth 2.9m; Ht 0.25m) at SE. Interior slopes slightly from E-W, and contains numerous natural humps and hollows.
