The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the NW face of a slight slope in good pasture-land overlooking Lough Derravaragh 380m to NE. Possible levelled ringfort (WM007-038----) 160m to NE. No surface remains visible, cropmark of levelled monument clearly visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. A site report from 1975 recorded at the time that monument had been almost completely levelled and the outline of the enclosing element was barely visible at the time. The field report describes the monument as a circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 45m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by vague traces of a very poorly preserved earthen bank (Wth 6.5m; H 0.2m at SE) with very slight traces of an outer fosse. A post 1837 field fence bisects the site from NE-SW.
