The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a natural terrace in an area of pasture-land on the W face of a high hill overlooking Lough Derravarragh 140m to the SW. Its original location would have been 50m from the lake shore prior to drainage works. Crannóg (WM007-022----) 160m to SW, earthwork (WM007-027----) 160m to NW. Depicted as an oval-shaped enclosure (approx. diam. 40m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by two widely spaced banks on the 1911 ed. OS 6 inch map. This site has been levelled but is visible as a very faint crop mark on the Digital Globe Aerial Photograph taken November 2011.
