The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a prominent ridge. Hilltop enclosure (WM006-008----) 180m to NW. An unusually large circular shaped area (approx. diam. 55m N-S; 64m E-W) enclosed by a substantial bank and wide deep steep sided flat bottomed fosse. The enclosing bank has been steepened from NE-E-ESE to form part of a field fence, and defaced by quarrying at W. The external fosse has been filled in from E-SE. Possible entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at SE. The interior slopes slightly from W-E, with traces of cultivation ridges running NW-SE. Digital globe aerial photograph taken November 2011 indicates that the enclosing bank has been levelled or reduced to a low scarp from NNE-E-S-SSW and elsewhere has been incorporated into a post-1700 field boundary.
