The National Monuments Service's description
Inscribed 17th century memorial stone inserted into external face of S gable of S transept chapel of Castlepollard church (WM003-096---) above a broken out window. The inscription on the plaque reads ‘SUMPTIBUS WALTER POLLARD DE CASTLLPOLLARD ARMIGERI ANO DOMINI 1679'. The word SUMPTIBUS indicates that Walter Pollard paid for the building costs incurred in the construction of this church in 1679.
