The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the summit of a prominent hill with good views in all directions. A large oval-shaped area (diam. 52m) defined by a low earth and stone bank with shallow U-shaped fosse and low external earthen bank of post-1700 appearance which may represent later enclosing element of the monument contemporaneous with adjoining field boundaries. Field fences radiate out from the perimeter of the site at NE, S and NW. Entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at NE. There are remains of drystone masonry facing to the S side of the gap. The interior rises unevenly towards the centre where there is the outline of a house site (WM003-009001-). The site is now covered in trees and other vegetation as clearly shown on Digital Globe aerial photographs taken November 2011.
