The National Monuments Service's description

Located on S edge of Bord Na Bog bog which borders onto Coillte owned land which was planted with forestry. Possible plank laid trackway found by Bord na Mona during dredging of a drain running E-W across Coolnagun bog in the townland of Corralanna. The trackway is located 80m N of a tributary of the Inny Rver with trackway (WM002-038---) 1km to the E. Timbers consisting of horizontal oak planks which appear to be resting on top of smaller brushwood timbers can be seen in N face of drain c. 1.3-1.6m below the surface of the bog. One visible timber (L 0.8m) in the N face appears to be a timber of a trackway possibly aligned on a N-S axis. On the S face of the drain there are a line of small upright roundwoods which may be the remains some of timber pegs fixing the timber planks into position. The timbers exposed are visible over a length of the drain measuring c. 70m which may suggest that the timbers belong to a larger peatland structure rather than a plank trackway. The oak planks visible on the surface of the bog which have been pulled out of the drain and measure 0.17m wide by 0.05m thick. The orientation of the trackway is uncertain and the spread of timbers over a length of c. 70m suggest the remains of larger peatland structure.
