The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on natural hillock in poorly drained scrubland with kidney-shaped pond or small lake intersecting site at SW. Large polygonal-shaped area (approx. diam. 88m NE-SE; 77m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank and external fosse both of which are intersected at SW by a small pond which is depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. On the pond side there is no enclosing element and the slope of the scarp on this side falls down sharply to the water. The enclosure is bisected by a post-1700 field boundary running NE-SW. The enclosing element is better preserved on the S side of the bisecting field boundary. There are several large gaps in the earthen bank but none are recognisable as an original entrance feature. Some grass-covered mounds of stones in the SE quadrant of the enclosure are of unknown significance. Traces of post-1700 cultivation ridges running across the interior of the enclosure. On the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map the monument is depicted as a D-shaped enclosure with straight side at S with kidney-shaped pond intersecting perimeter of site at SW.
