The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a marshy area, now drained. The site is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a rectangular structure within a small rectangular graveyard (max. dims. c. 30m NW-SE; 20m NE-SW) and is named 'Site of Killynee Chapel and Graveyard'. It has been completely removed in the construction of the railway line.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
