The National Monuments Service's description
Within Aghowle graveyard (WI042-019003-) there are three cross-bases (WI042-019011/012-/027-) the shafts and heads of which are now missing. Listed as cross-base B and described by Corlett (2019) as following; 'Cross base B is located some 20m south of the centre of the church. The stone is earthfast and consists of a rectangular granite block 49cm x 46cm across, but the full height of the stone is not clear in its present earthfast position. The centrally placed socket is rectangular and measures 30cm x 11cm across and 12cm deep. The socket is straight-sided and has a flat base'.
