The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on level ground in gently undulating terrain. The remains of a circular ringfort (original dims. c. 45 NW-SE; 38m NE-SW) bisected by a NW-SE public road. The site is defined from N-NE by a slight step (H 0.5-0.6m) and from NE-SW by an earth and stone bank with near vertical drystone facing (Wth 2-2.4m; H 0.5-1.6m). At the SW a field boundary cuts across the bank joining the public road towards the centre of the site and to the west of this the site has been removed. No trace of a fosse, entrance feature or internal features.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
