The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a gently sloped natural hollow on the N edge of a stream. Circular trivallate ringfort (dims. 26.5m N-S; 23.5m E-W; ext. diam. 74.5m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.5-7m; H 1.1-1.5m) and an external fosse (Wth 5.5-7m; D 0.6-0.9m). Immediately outside this is another bank (Wth 5.5-7m; H 1.2-1.8m), an outer fosse (Wth 5.5-8m) and finally a third bank (Wth 5.5-9m; H 0.8m) only at the S; elsewhere the outermost bank and fosse are indicated by differential growth. A funnel-shaped entrance at the W widens from the inner bank (Wth 1m) to the outer (Wth 2.4m) with a causeway across the inner fosse. A substantial field boundary cuts across the E portion of the site. No indication of internal features

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
