The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small level platform with a sharp drop immediately to the N. The platform (dims. 30m E-W; 20m N-S) is known locally as the site of a church but there are no visible traces at ground level. Ronan (1927, 113) quotes a description of a small unmortared church in this townland, which may have disappeared by the 'Visitation' of 1630. There is a spring in a rock outcrop c. 70m N of the site.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
