The National Monuments Service's description

This bullaun stone, known as St Kevin's cup, is located in a small landscaped park at the confluence of the Avonbeg and Avonmore rivers ('Meeting of the Waters'), 30m E of the statue of Sir Thomas Moore. A roughly squared granite boulder with a modern looking fracture along its E side (L 0.7m; Wth 0.6m; H 0.35m) contains a bullaun slightly off-centre towards the N side (diam 0.36m; D 0.14m). (Price 1959, 164; Grogan and Kilfeather 1997, 159, No. 1002)
