The National Monuments Service's description
Described by Kinahan (1884, 230-1 (stone C)) as 'squarish in form, lying flat, and seems to be either a quartz-rock (greissen) or quartzose-granite. The markings on its surface have not a very ancient look. They are shallow and indistinct, and may be ancient. The cup to the east is unsymmetrical, being 1.5 deep near its N.E. edge, while the hole to the S.W. is of a rectangular form, undercut to the S.W., and 1.5 inches deep. It is possible that the eastern cup is an ancient one subsequently modified in shape.' The location indicated by Kinahan (1884, 231) was inspected by ASI in 1990, however this stone was not located.
