The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a steep W-facing slope. The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 52) suggest that the present church may be on the site of an earlier foundation, but there are no visible remains of any early features. The modern church is within a rectangular graveyard defined by a stone-faced bank (dims. 60m NW-SE; 48m NE-SW).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
