The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated holy well within the townland of Ballinacor. According to Lynch (1994, 639) there is a holy well in the townland of Ballinacor that is mentioned in the 1930s Irish Folklore Commission, Schools Manuscript Collection ( IFC S 921: 24). The folklore manuscripts recorded the tradition that ‘people came and danced around it and they put images around it. They bring sick people and they are supposed to heal them. Water from the well used for household purposes’ (Lynch 1994, 639).
