The National Monuments Service's description

Granite boulder (L 1.3m; Wth 1.14m; T 0.56m) with three basins (diam. 0.24-0.32m; D 0.08-0.16m) in the upper surface. Known locally as 'the Wart Stone'. (Crawford 1912, 340; Price 1959, 164, no. 10)

This monument is subject to a preservation order made under the National Monuments Acts 1930 to 2014 (PO no. 125/1940).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
